Deno Deploy free tier: the verified facts
Last verified: 2026-10-06· official pricing page
FREE TIER EXISTS NO CARD NEEDED
Serverless TypeScript from the Deno team — metered on active CPU, generous for I/O-bound apps.
Current limits
| What | Limit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Requests | 1M/month | |
| Egress | 20 GiB/month | |
| Active CPU | 10 hours/month | Billed only while executing code, not waiting on I/O |
| Memory time | 150 GiB-hours/month | |
| Apps | 10 active deployments | |
| Custom domains | 5 | No wildcard subdomains on free |
| KV storage | 1 GiB, 1M reads, 500K writes/month | |
| Scale to zero | ~20-30 seconds idle |
Gotchas that bite people
Apps shut down after ~20-30 seconds idle — every quiet period means a cold start on the next request
Active-CPU-hours (10/month) is the tight meter for compute-heavy work; I/O-bound apps barely touch it
Log retention is 1 day on free — debugging yesterday's incident is impossible
Platform recently migrated to a new console and pricing model — older tutorials reference limits that no longer exist
Notes for developers in India
Current region list not published on the pricing page — unverified. Test latency before committing.
Change history
